Question

Since my other post about washer dryers has been deleted let’s try again. So everyone said no to the washer dryer. I currently have a 9kg sensor dryer but needs fixing (only a £15 job) but I’m in 2 minds as to if to get a 4/5kg dryer as we hardly use it. Are the smaller 1s just as good as the big 1s?

I would never go back to a washer dryer for anything but I love my normal size dryer

I use a dri buddy instead of a tumble dryer and love it. I'd never go back now

Washer dryer is by far the most worst thing I have ever purchased and will definitely not get one again. As to the small dryer I wouldn't bother as you would have to split 1 washing machine load into 2 for a small tumble dryer which will cost you more money. It would be ok for a single person but anymore then I wouldn't suggest. If your thinking about space I would suggest a dry buddi or heated clothes airer.

I use a 5kg dryer with a family of 5. What size is your washing machine?

I have a washer dryer and its fine. I only use the dryer for towels and underwear the rest of the clothes go over an airer x

We have a washer dryer and love it. The best thing we bought. Previously we had a washing machine and vented drier, it’s been so much more convenient to just have the one machine. I did like having a vented dryer for the convenience of putting something in for 15 minutes, whereas the washer dryer has a set time that it’s on for - that’s the only thing I miss about it though. We take out wool jumpers and underwear before setting it off to dry, we can also set it to automatically dry once the wash cycle finishes. It’s been a lifesaver with having 2 children under 5.

I have a washer dryer as a washer I love it however no use as a dryer I used the dryer settin a couple of times doesn’t dry cycle takes about 3 hrs and the clothes are still wet only I have to re wash cause they come out foisty bought a tumble dryer best thing ever

I love my washer dryer. Its a indesit. I have 5 daughters and its never off. U best paying the 5er a month insurance on it to domestic and genral cause when it gets blocked with fluff they have to empty it. Or its a 80quid call out etc if no insurance. And for a washer dryer dont use powder use gel. The powder blocks it up xxx

I have a small dryer and yes they are just as good as the large ones it's just you can fit less In it. To be honest I always fit my whole washing load in the small dryer we are a family of 5 and it works for us and I dry most things in the dryer x

What's wrong with your current dryer? If it's a job you can fix yourself for £15 i'd do that.

@fostoria it has been broke for over a year so was just thinking instead of fixing it getting a washer dryer (will need new washing in next 6 months)
