We have a freestanding oven with an electric ceramic hob. Got a new one less than 2 weeks ago, and already struggling to keep the top clean. My wonderful husband does like to overfill pans with water etc when he boils veg (especially potatoes) and so they always boil over (yes, we've had words about it lol). The top already has some stubborn marks on it. I want it kept like new as long as we can. Any cleaning tips? Until living here, I've always had gas hobs, which seem easier to clean?! Not sure what products to use to get best results. Thank you!

I used to use hob brite, it’s really good. I use a steamer now to cook vegetables and potatoes, we would never go back to boiling again, steamer retain the flavours in vegetables, better tasting veg and cleaner cooker hobs. Happy days

If it’s a glass Hob scrape it with a fine blade to get excess off then if you don’t have cream cream cleaner get the corner of an old tea towel/ tea cloth, dry. Then put some toothpaste on it and then wash off with soapy water and dry.

I swear by hob brite. Like you I'd always used a gas cooker but now using the same as you. The hob brite has been a life saver & it's only around £1 per bottle - brilliant!
