What's the best thing to use in the washing machine to get the smell of cat pee out of clothing and bedding? We Foster cats and have two special needs cats and I keep coming across new things they have peed on! Most recently jeans that had fallen down in the wardrobe. Help!

Try a biological washing powder rather than non bio. it works for dog wee anyway!?

I buy a pet deodorising spray from b&m and pour a bit in the wash where the fabric softener goes

I use bio washing liquid. It also works for cleaning up cat sick - ours are mostly good with pee but they both love honking on the carpet. I just put a dose of the bio liquid in a spray bottle, dilute with water, mix and use as needed. Also I think lenor does a fabric conditioner with added febreeze, which is safer for pets than the spray fabric fresheners.

Biological washing powder on a 90c wash will kill the enzymes and therefore the smells

I put a cap full of zoflora in my wash with badly soiled items. I found just washing them on high heat did nothing and they still stank to high heaven when washed. Stops my machine smelling as well
