So I brought some fleece fabric and cut into squares, microfiber is better but I couldn't be arsed to hem it whereas fleece doesn't fray. So you cut it the size you want and it's good to go. I use the vanish powder small tubs with the screw top and keep one in each room. I use zoflora which is a disinfectant, or it's cheaper alternative fabulosa and fill the tub with water and half a capful. Wring out the excess water and clean that room, you'll notice it doesn't leave a sopping wet surface like a dishcloth or flannel and both fabrics attract dirt particles because they are staticky, same as a wipe. Then I've got a net wash bag to gather the used ones in and on the 1st of every month I clean the washing machine on it's hottest cycle using thin bleach and soda crystals and put all the cloths in. No germs stay alive on a 90° bleach wash. When they are finished they are pretty dry and only really need an hour or two in the sun to finish off. Or 30mins on a low setting tumble dryer. If you use the high setting you'll get a massive static shock. I think I spent £6. 99 on 1mtr of fleece fabric on eBay and got something silly like 40+ squares from it. Fabulosa is sold in B&M or poundstretchers for no more than £2. 99 for 250ml, sometimes you can get it for £1, if so stock up! Use it to scent a room in winter by wringing it out and draping it over a radiator to dry. Also you can fill a spray bottle with water and whichever fragrance you fancy and spritz bedding, clothes you've worn once that done need to be washed but that you don't want to hang up next to your clean clothes, dog beds, kitchen counters, bathrooms. It's a disinfectant so will kill 99% of germs so says the packet but doesn't contain bleach so doesn't mark fabrics. If the vanish pot is too big to hide, Primark often sells clear makeup bags for £1, or plastic pencil cases are good or food jars or you can reuse the wipes packs by cutting off one end and gaffa taping it closed each time. I've recently found spray paint and decoupage so intend on making mine look pretty so they can be on display but blend in Hope that helps, enjoy x
