Oh god I've been asking this question for years. Currently in just removing the base plates that are meant to catch the crumbs and shaking it upside down to clean but it still has tonnes inside that I can't get out, really bothers me

There should be a tray at one side that pulls out

Put in a black bin bag blast the hairdryer on it

Yes usually a slide out tray at the bottom. If not remove from the socket and use and old dry toothbrush to loosen and bits stuck then turn upside down and shake

Take the tray out of bottom then turn up side down shake for side to side then back and forth keep going till all crumbs out

I vaccum mine. There's a wee tray under each slot on mine.
