Depends how long the stain has been there. If it’s newish I would use laundry liquid diluted in a bowl of warm water. Rinse very well and then use an old towel to soak up the moisture by treading on it. This method has worked well for the majority of things (when my little one was a baby he projectile vomited a wide variety of things and I managed to get them all out. This included a poo that shot across the room and the health visitor who was there at the time said ‘I’m going and by the way you’ll never get that out. ’)
