Nail polish remover works on sellotape it could work on this

Go to b&q and get super glue remover no risk of you cutting or damaging your worktop then!

Just a note of caution, if your worktop has a glossy/shiny finish, don't use nail varnish remover as it takes the shine off aswell ! I learnt this to my cost !

Spray wd40 on it wait 5 mins then use a credit card to scrape it off carefully

To get off skin they tell you to soak in warm soapy water maybe do something similar. You could soak a cloth in water then keep applying it then try to scrape off with a plastic scraper so you don't scratch the worktop
