@amin35 yes, this x 100! Even with time limits, our youngest threw the most insane tantrums when it was time to be done. We even gave her half hour, ten minute, five minute wrap up warnings and it didn’t help. So. last time was the last time for her. It’s been over a week now and I’m not allowing them to play anymore. It got too crazy for us.

My kid prefers Roblox. We keep chat turned off so she doesn’t talk to people she doesn’t know. She does video calls with friends and plays at the same time though.

My 6 year old was too scared of some of the games on Roblox so we deleted it for a while. But Minecraft has been great. It’s not purely educational, but they have learned a few things so. winning

That the kids actually prefer watching videos of others playing minecraft and it’s tedious and exhausting to listen to!

Yes, please shut off the chat for Roblox. There are a lot of cute and fun games on there, but I've seen some questionable stuff, at times. Especially in the chat. My stepkids begged and pleaded with me to make an account and play with them. We had a talk about not friending people they don't know/never telling strangers personal stuff type of thing. All their friends play and they're 9 & 11. Even the 9 year olds I nannied for a bit have it. I was the coolest thing in the world when I told them I had an account and played with them. Personally, I think Minecraft is better for younger kids and really helps with creativity. Its a good start into the video game world. Save yourself & run for the hills if they ever ask to watch YouTube of people playing the games. That's when you'll really want Calgon to take you away!

Ps, wanted to add, not trying to scare anyone from letting their kids play. It's a lot of fun and the kids love it. Just one of those things to be aware about. It's by no means, all the time, plus, I think some of the stuff I witnessed in the chats, blew over the kids heads. Unfortunately we don't live in a perfect world, just something to be aware about.

My sons are 7 and 8. Minecraft is cool and they learn. They are not allowed to play Roblox.
