What are some good quality shows for young kids? Looking to find something new. Favorites so far: Bluey, Sesame Street, @inexpensive3178 in the Hat, Helpsters, and Rescue Riders. My child also likes PJ Masks but I don’t care for that one.

We watch the beat bugs. It's made with music from the beatles, so not obnoxious for parents, and the stories have decent lessons in them.

My kids like team umi zoomi (old show but plays on nick jr every morning) and blaze and the monster machines. Both shows teach a LOT and give time for guessing and interacting. Team umi zoomi focuses a lot on numbers, patterns and shapes while blaze does a lot of physics and numbers.

I really like how Sid the Science kid has a real science lesson in every episode and the format of the show follows the same structure as the last episode so it has sort of a routine built into the show for kids. Plus it’s on Netflix:)

Story Bots! Big Block Sing Songs! Both are super adorable and educational. Great topics and awesome songs! I get way into the songs (esp on big block sing songs).

I second Octonauts. It’s not annoying and the kids learn so much from it.

Curious George is fantastic great teaching of a ton of science in a hilarious way (pbs kids), the Wiggles for some fun dancing if they are under 5 (Netflix). Storybots on Netflix also has great stuff.

Oh and both versions of the Magic School Bus(Netflix) (ages 5-9). @inexpensive3178 in the Hat Knows A Lot About That (pbs kids) (ages 3-7). And Doc McStuffins for some good social emotional and health stuff (2-6) on Netflix

Blippi is actually pretty educational and fun. There is a Blippi app on Amazon that is free or you can watch him on Youtube. Ethan also likes Storybots on Nextflix

I pretty much turn on PBS kids and turn off my brain, because all their shows are great. I see a lot of great suggestions here though.

I’m not sure how old your kids are but my toddlers like 101 Dalmatian Street on Disney Plus and 44 cats on Netflix. My daughter has mature tastes in shows

She also watches Sonic the Hedgehog and Garfield. I think both on Netflix. My son is three and he likes Mickey Mouse Clubhouse

I agree with many of these  Also, I took my kids back to Mr. Rogers Neighborhood. It seems like it moves SO slow compared to what we are used to  but it will always be one of the best and the slow movement is so much better for their brains

We have a roku. Anything on the PBS app is great. We recently found the Kanopy app. You log in with your library card info. They have a kids section that’s similar to pbs but a bigger selection and also a good selection of animated books. It’s pretty awesome!

Theo loves Bluey too, but I really am not sure about quality for that one. What are your thoughts. It makes them laugh so hard, its so silly.
by (6.9k points)
@selfsealing oh I think Dan and I like Bluey more than Avi does! Lol. Some of the dad’s lines are hilarious and it gives us great ideas for little pretend games to play as a family.

I trust your judgement. I've only watched small pieces of it here and there and just had no idea what was going on but my kids love it and cant get enough of it.
