Question

Has anyone successfully been able to schedule an Ikea curbside pickup? I’ve tried putting an order in at 2am, 5am, and 7am, to be told all slots are filled for the day. I’ll try midnight tomorrow night, but if someone’s already tried that then I’ll keep sleeping and just accept my order will never get placed.

YES! I ordered on a Friday morning early. No email all day despite a window from 1-4 pm and a threat that if not picked up in 24 hrs the order would be cancelled/refunded. No email for days. No one to call. Tuesday at 3 they CALL not email as they indicated and tell me I have until 7 to pick up or they’ll cancel and refund. My husband ran out for me (I had a class from 4-7) and they just told him to pop the trunk and they loaded up. Everything was correct.

I probably won’t be doing that again anytime soon. Emotional roller coaster.

It took me a week to get a slot. i tried at all hours of the day and night. It was around 10am last Friday that I finally succeeded. Everything I wanted wasn't available for shipping so I just kept trying. (I have a, some would say "sick", obsession with ikea. It's the one thing I've really missed being stuck at home. )

@violetteviolin I’ll keep trying! IKEA is amazing! And I totally get the delay in getting orders through and being patient. I just have a whole room I want to furnish and am set on it being stuff from IKEA!

My advice is to just be persistent. Nothing I ordered was large though so you might be right if you're looking at sofas and stuff. in that case it might be better to try delivery?

I tried a couple times yesterday and this morning and got the same error every time. Then I noticed that expedited shipping was the same cost as standard shipping and was much faster shipping from Schaumburg instead of distribution center. Now my stuff is arriving Wednesday!

@byington I did the same. I kept getting the same error and decided that the delivery fee was worth it as I ordered a sofa too

I had an online order for delivery simply canceled three days after the “desired delivery date”. So a heads up that even delivery can cause a headache.

Thanks everyone! I actually got my order to go through for the ikea in Bolingbrook.  it actually goes through!
