Anyone know what the temperature has to be for the schools in our district to close? It’s going to be pretty cold tomorrow and I noticed some schools are already closing.

Lol clearly we have all forgotten last winter. If we had closed over this weather they wouldnt have gone to school literally for a month

Usually below zero to close I think. If it’s below thirty they won’t go outside for recess.

Blizzard conditions, severe freezing temps - weather a school bus cannot operate safely in & unsafe temps in which bus riders cannot stand and wait for their bus. I’m sure school bus companies & superintendent have mutual agreement for when to close.

I remember walking my girl to school and it was below zero. I think they close if it's -25 . It's cold but not really that cold for Chicago (dp)

I believe it's always the wind chill that matters. -25 or close
