Question

My cat is now eating very less. What can I do to make her eat properly? She had her tooth extraction 6 months ago and she was eating well after it. Any advise is highly appreciated.

1. Check gums. Pink or white? If pink wait it out. If white there’s a problem . 2. Just wait it out. Might be confused by people being around all the time.

@duala if she is having a hard time with dry food try wet food. It might be uncomfortable for her to chew now. But always ask your vet 1st. Also, cat nip won't do anything except hype her up ha

I'm fostering a cat who just had some teeth removed as well. It's a long process. If your cat was fine for awhile and now not something else is probably going on. Call your vet.

Maybe she has another bad tooth or an infection. Try soft food, cat treats, gravy, kitten food. Blood tests for thyroid, diabetes.

Sure, just trying to avoid taking her to Vet due to the current situation. But will do that if she continues to avoid food. She is eating but very less.

Will she drink warm chicken broth? This is what I give my dogs when they are sick. It keeps them hydrated and gives them the essential salts. Also you could mix in some of the dry food to the broth eventually.

We used Mirtazapine prescribed by vet. You apply to one ear. Worked almost instantly.

Btw. I took her to a Vet today. Waiting on her blood work results.
