Question

Is there a local group making masks? I'd like to donate, but want to make sure they get to people who need them most.

@humidity743 yes! And @agitprop91 I got my hands on some of the filter paper! They only gave me one to start with, could probably make like 5 masks out of it. If it works, they are going to see what needs to be done to make more. I’m very persistent. I think they gave it to me to shut up. ‍♀️

I've been in contact with nurses at LGH who have requested them. So I can make sure they get to them if you are willing to donate.

@agitprop91 do they have specific ones? I've made cotton masks with a pocket, but no nose wires.

Brookdale Des Plaines is taking donations.

@natheless are you making the ones with filter pockets? I’m trying to find 15 of those for the respiratory therapists at Advocate Condell.
