The problem with you people is you can still be a carrier and not be sick! Just because you arent sick or showing symptoms, doesn't mean you cant be a carrier and pass it along to someone who can catch it quickly.

@writhen that's right! Current scientific evidence is indicating that as many as sixty percent of people are asymptomatic. 60%

@cilice82900 yep, but people dont understand this. Sad.

And masks are not 100 % foolproof.
by (3.9k points)
@wester just wearing a coffee filter reduces your risk by 50 to 60% by the way. With a coffee filter add that to Cotton mask and you've got maybe 80% coverage. I'll take it

Licensed beauticians will lose their license and get fined if caught. I just busted out the clippers and took it down to a 1.

If the hairdresser wears a mask, since they're so protective of everything and block everything, and possibly the person who wears one to wear one that just has elastic behind their ears what's the problem with having a haircut? As long as neither one is sick or hasn't been by anybody recently that sick.

@morass686 first of all right now hair dressers would loose their license if they cut hair. Second of all, my daughter is a colorist, her salon had a meeting the other day via zoom. All the hairdressers, dispite the fact they would love to go back to work are terrified. They would need masks, gloves, and eye protection. Not to mention fewer customers and fewer hairdressers to keep social distancing. I don't think you will see it anytime too soon.

@headphone0 first of all, the woman that hairdresser that cut Chicago's mayor has hair didn't lose her license! I'm not suggesting anybody do anything. What I'm suggesting is don't cut your own hair if you don't know absolutely what you're doing. Or don't let somebody else cut your hair if they absolutely don't know what they're doing. Because when you get a f*****-up hair job that's not good. And there are people that are still working that need to have something looking somewhat decent so why can't they get a haircut should they look like homeless shabby people? Seriously or should they look like somebody from an island that's the lost on an island? and personally you know if somebody doesn't on the side and nobody opens her big fat mouth nobody's going to get in trouble.

People need to stop being tattletales, people need to mind their own business, people need to worry about themselves, and if somebody needs to get a haircut and things are done in a proper way people going to go get an abortion abortions are not necessary unless it's an absolute emergency people are getting elective abortions because they want them not because they're absolutely necessary so tell me that's a necessity.

Everybody so freaking worried that they're going to die from covid-19, yet it's okay for them to cut off kill off innocent little babies that are growing inside a woman or young girl whose pregnant as a teenager. And not necessarily from rape. Many it's just because they're careless. and you know what we're all going to die someday anyway once were born that's the only guarantee in life we're going to die. And I hate to be a Debbie Downer I'm not trying to be that way but really people, serious. I think what needs to be asked is that they ready to meet their creator are they ready to meet God in heaven? That's the big question.
by (4.3k points)
And just so nobody comes down on me, when I was younger I experienced two pregnancies that many people were telling me to get an abortion, and I didn't do it. so don't tell me I don't know what I'm talkin about road Denver been in that position I was in that position twice. But you know what just because somebody forced me was going to force me to have an abortion and be the only thing they would pay for I walked away from that person and gave birth to two children two beautiful boys.

@morass686 if a person comes into the beauty salon even though they're wearing a mask they are still touching the chair touching the counters. All that would have to be scrubbed down and sanitize before they can have another client come in. It's just not a matter of wearing a mask
by (4.3k points)
@confirmed1835 Nolan-Stubing masks & gloves.
by (310 points)
@morass686 that's true.
by (700 points)
@morass686 sorry. I don't agree. Why should we put hairdressers at risk? They're jobs are not essential. And how do you know the "hairdresser" that cut Laurie Lightfoot's hair didn't loose her license? How do we know she was even a hairdresser? Maybe someone who she knows that can cut hair. And really, who was even talking about abortions? A hair cut has nothing to do with an abortion.

@confirmed1835 exactly!

@morass686 plus eye protection and gown and total disinfectant to clean all surfaces before and after each client.

I used to be a licensed hairdresser but let my license go. I'm not worried about my hair just hold it between your fingers and cut not the fingers the hair. LOL They were talking about opening up salons and don't think they made a final decision I don't know but I really need my nails done. I ordered all the stuff I need to try to do my nails myself but its stuck in customs so going to Walgreens this weekend and see what I can do. Stay safe and wear those masks :)

For those of you recommend him to people to cut their own hair, cut it at home yourself, look at a YouTube video. Let me tell you I cut my hair once when I was in my late teens, back then it was like the seventies and every route is wearing Farrah fawcett hair and such. Well I wanted to look that way I never had ever cut my hair had no training. I did such a shity job my mother then had to fix my hair thankfully she know what she was doing, but I have never ever ever cut my hair again! and if unless you know what you're doing I wouldn't recommend you touching your own hair. Unless you just want to buzz it all off.

@morass686 well we are stuck at home so home hair cutis the way to go
