As a nurse and a mom I would be perfectly comfortable bringing my kids in for their peds appt.

I know most peds appointments for 18 months and under are still taking place.

Also, your doctor should be calling you in advance to confirm your appointment and they should also be telling you what precautions to take with your baby. At least that’s what I’ve experienced with my baby’s doctor.

I postponed my 3 yo vaccines until after this mess since her Dr office is at Lutheran general.

Check with your doctor. Personally, I wouldn't delay vaccinations as those other diseases are still out there.

Ask your doctor about what is due and if they want you to wait. Our pediatrician is at Yacktman and they are setting vaccination appointments first thing in the morning so you get a super clean room no one has been in yet, before the other appointments and they only will do a few quick things and the rest of your wellness appointment can be done via video chat.

At Lutheran General, they called and rescheduled us for a telehealth appointment (no vaccines this time) but they said well appointments were in the morning and sick in the afternoon. It should be okay.

I have heard and read several times that delaying vaccines is NOT recommended. They want you to keep your vaccines on schedule, they are important. In fact I just heard a radio ad from Lurie Children’s about it actually! I’d personally still take mine
