Quick question.  I try to get out for daily walks.Quick question. I try to get out for daily walks. Any flooding concerns in the areas between Oakton and Thacker & between Lee / Mannheim and Wolf?

No, there usually isn’t much flooding there. I live right in the neighborhood between these areas, and we don’t get flooding (save for the tiny pool near the back of my yard where it slopes ever so slightly)!

I haven’t been out after *this* particular storm we had last night, but we are not in a flood zone, and we never have flooding like they do closer to the river)

Shouldn’t be. most of flooding happens east of the railroad tracks on Algonquin to Camp Down Road. By Methodist camp grounds. It used to be the flood zone as far as I know. We haven’t had much rain this year. Plus the work Des Plaines has put in has helped. I think. Maybe others can shed more light on the flooding. All along that river is a problem.

If you happen to encounter flooding while walking, there's a solution for that: turn and walk the other way.

The only flooding I have seen is the des plaines river path, near the area @calpac0 mentioned. I run that path sometimes. You seem to be west of there.
