You can turn it off and pay Facebook the $300 for the lesson.

@digitalism I am surprised!

On what grounds are they refunding you? I don't get it :D Otherwise we can all complain about ads we don't like the performance of.

@mong723 I've had my ad account for years and never asked for a refund. That's why

Put a complain. Tell them what happend. They might help you, I’ve heard of people they return their money once.
by (640 points)
What happened? Nothing. You just run an ad. Otherwise, I can complain at every ad with negative ROI.

The only thing you can do is be thankful that there wasn’t more 0 in front of it

Don’t waste your time on fighting this. If $300. 00 is a lot to lose you are prob in the wrong business. Just focus your energy on the future
by (220 points)
@grin17 why in the wrong business? So you only can run FB ads with big budgets?
by (220 points)
You know what’s wrong business? Going to a tiger zoo in Thailand where they sedate the tigers the entire day for the rest of their lives just so you can take that one “cool” Facebook picture. Now that’s wrong business.

My point is. It will most likely take hours at the end of the day going back and forth with FB. How much is your time worth per hour?
by (220 points)
That's not really how your point came across. Then you should have said "Hey live and learn, but don't waste your time making up the loss, instead focus on gaining it back. ".

@digitalism my issue was the budget was supposed to be $100 lifetime and I selected daily. So make sure to tell them it was a mistake and not that you were unhappy with the ads

I had 55 retail stockists for my Cosmetics line (sold more than MABELINE which is a big deal) Got a business partner, he breached contract, fucked my assistant, money laundering etc. So I lost everything. Now I'm trying to make a come back and its just one problem after the other.

I had facebook turn off a couple of my ads in the middle of the christmas shopping period for absolutely no reason at all. Reckon they’ll reimburse me for lost sales?

Depends on the situation. The fact that you've been on for 3 years won't help you. I was once doing pro bono work for a children's non-profit and had a campaign that I started with a $40 daily budget. Except I accidentally set it up for a $4, 000 daily budget. I caught it when It had spent about $1200. I contacted Facebook, told them the story. About how it was a mistake and that the nonprofit. Would not be able to afford the accidental overspend and they did refund all the money back to the nonprofit.

This is a great reminder for everyone to make sure their changes have been published. I often (not as often as I should) do a "hard refresh" after I publish changes to ensure the changes I have made have been published.
