@biblical thank you Steven!

@biblical have you use automateio or integromat instead of zapier? Also do you set up a new contact list for clicksend to send the reminders when creating new events?
by (160 points)
@catching I havent. Zapier is pretty much the standard for all things marketing automation. Stick with that.

@biblical when running ads for events to you have it set up to register on the website or directly to favebook events?

It's pretty standard to get a large drop off, especially for events you have to pay for on arrival. If you let people book + pay beforehand, then send lots of reminders, drop off rate is less significant.

I see, i will test it with a $10 or $20 cost price tag. This is my first time running ads for events. I was very exited that 50 sign up for then 10 showed up. :(

I only show about 15 tickets open at a time----if people see a ton of tickets, then they think the event is a dud. Second, I give away cool prizes at the event----so people want to come to it. Third---don't tease the "how"----tease the problem and the end result that so many of your clients have gotten (social proof/testimonials) so everyone is freaking out wanting to know the how I also have 2-3x as many tickets available as seats

Did you set up reminders?
by (940 points)
@ezar66 no!

@catching maybe that's why they forgot to go. Also, you need to offer something for free to get them excited.

Have you never planned a party before? did everyone that said they're coming. show up. 10 out of 50. is 20%. that's a really good result.

You might benefit from putting in place a better thank you page to increase the perceived value of your event. An indoctrination email sequence might also be a good addition. +perceived value × FOMO X Familiarity = Show ups :)

@cheney the thing is that the type of people that i'm targeting do not use or barely check their emails. I could create a chatbot sequence to indoctrination + sms reminders. this is my first time using sms reminders.
by (940 points)
@cheney could you give me an example of the sequence that you use on emails?

You can also increase results by adding a video in your Thank You Page after they sign in your event. The video's objective is to increase personal connection and perceived value. The email sequence (road-map) is to reaffirm commitment to solve the underlying problem, why you are the best solution, create expectation, answer FAQ, etc. No selling at this stage.
