Exactly what I’ve been seeing the last few days. As a noobie-ish in FB Ads, it’s quite tempting.

Don't be tempted. Honestly, as someone whose been through a few agencies and spent a few mill, you're best off doing it yourself. Get REALLY good at doing it yourself for a few years, 'cause nobody will put the same love and attention into it you can, and then when you do finally hire an agency, find someone BETTER than you and their job will be to beat your best scores. You can then confidently audit their work on a daily/hourly basis, hell as much as you freakin want. But. You'll never know who is better than you until you've done it a while. I had a guy, who I poached from FB (he was my rep) burn 10k of my cash in a few hours because he set the automation wrong. Its not their money, they won't care the way you do. If your business fails, they move onto the next client, but you can't even feed your kids. If you make a costly mistake, it burns a like a brand into the core of your being and you NEVER make it again, if they make a mistake, they'll cover it up and you'll never even know. If you're new to this game, focus ALL of your attention on becoming the best marketer there is. Businesses live and die by cashflow and marketing is the tap. YOUR hand should be the one on the tap.

@bartolommeo6216 appreciate the detailed reply. Yes of course. I’m the type that prefers to learn myself. I’m a self taught SEO affiliate marketeer but moved over to paid for our e-commerce store. Like with any new subject, I’m learning and gauging what’s BS and what’s not.

It will either A: send them back to their jobs - 'cause entrepreneurialism is surviving way bigger kicks in the nuts than this, or B: give them a taste of what it's like, so they can stiffen their collars and lean into the stress, recognise "too good to be true" and become a solid business person in future.

I was bombarded with one of theseads and they were actually directing them at me. When I commented on something, someone replied and asked me jhow did I become a member (seems it is some sort of private thing) so I replied I didn't know I was and to stop sending me messages. Then I got another mssage from another guy asking me to check with my bank to see if any membershio money had been charged. Then the whole lot disappeared from my Facebook and I checked with my bank and everything was OK. Theyn seem to be an organisation for online sellers.

And the funniest thing about these “gurus” is they’re all working off of 2+ years old FB not-so-best-practices. What kinda worked two years ago is today’s money pit in the platform. If you’re not operating from an understanding how FB suggests you structure your campaigns/ad-sets/ads for scale, then you’re operating at a disadvantage. Period.
