How do you deal with negative comments on your FB ads? One user commented "Complete scam" another user defended us, calling the other one an idiot and saying our project is a great idea. He got likes from other users: My first thought was to delete the 'complete scam' comment, but this interaction feels more real and looks like social proof. What would you do?

I engage with em. Toss memes around and belittle them. My customers defend me. I also ask for order numbers and I see how we handled the sale and customer service. If we fscked up, I own up and fix it publicly in the comments (refunds, or resends) Most of the time they didn't buy from us, or purchased from a shitty competitor. If they're crazy, I post email exchanges and proof that we handled it appropriately. People really like this, and I get lots of customers saying they buy because we're honest, funny and fair.

Doing this will send your engagement through the roof. My customers follow the comments in our ads because they know I'll be meme'ing and trolling people.

Filter out comments from your page for words you don't want displayed in comments, or even hide comments with common words like "the" "it" etc. That will hide almost all comments.

In my opinion controversy is good, but you should surely filter out hurtful words.

It looks un professional to go back and forth on ads with someone like this. The best thing to do is say ‘I am sorry that you think this is a scam but you can send us an email through our website and someone will contact you and verify what ever information you would like to confirm this is not a scam”

I would leave it. for whatever reason, I have no idea why. but when people nowadays see all 100% 5-star perfect reviews and nothing bad at all. it can for whatever reason set off red flags or "scam alert" spidey senses. whatever you want to call it. being TRANSPARENT is HUGE that alone is a HUGE advantage you would have over your competitors. its more REAL like you mentioned. your a real company. transparent company. people do business over 50% of people LEAVE transactions when its all 100% 5 stars perfect with not 1 bad review. I wanna say its like 56 or 57%. transparency is HUGE. I personally would leave it and you can interact if you want too because the interaction is always good also. so I would keep it and I would interact. But its totally up to you, you do what you think is right, people are right on Facebook if you get too many, etc it can hurt your ad performance because facebook is ALL about their user experience. so it's totally up to you as a business owner you have to make these calls. best of luck to you my friend
