Any ideas wots hap half my azalea? I’m afraid it some fungus rot  It was fine 3 days ago.

The leaves don't look big enough for a rhododendron, but there are large azaleas. They both need ericaceous compost/peat. I usually dig a small bag in at some point before they flower. You can also get a food to give them a boost. If you think there is a fungi growing cut it all away and burn it.

I would be tempted to cut off as low to the ground as possible all the affected branches. Rather than it possibly spread. Sharp clean cuts.

@questa I dunno about bugs I will hav to go check tom. Nothing is at it, there’s not much wildlife here. My garden is enclosed too. No cats nothing.

Pretty sure i read they like acidic soil the same as camelias. If you've got some white vinegar or apple cider vinegar add 2 caps to a large watering can and water the base

It’s not a rhodi it’s DEFO an azalea lol It’s been watered a lot. But not too much. It’s in ericaceous compost.

This is it when I bought it. The pink 1. It’s only 2yrs old but I haven’t trimmed it at all yet.

@ragsdale4237 lol just seen everyone else’s comments lol, I’ve just put a post on waiting to be approved about mine lol. Mine is blooming but very bare and twiggy lol xx

@scrobiculate at least it’s still blooming  It prob cud of done with being trimmed but u wouldn’t know whether it wud grow. That wud b my concern.

@ragsdale4237 see it nearly died last year when we first got it, so I did trim it was back and cut all the dead bits off, but it’s came back lovely this year, but seems really twiggy lol xx
