Only thing that works is kurtail. I have tried every trick in the book - bleach, salt, wd40, resolva, pulling it up etc and within days it was back. Started spraying it with kurtail at the first sign of it in march and its dying off, still get green shoots coming through so I just keep spraying. I'm hoping next spring it will be eradicated completely.

It needs special weedkiller specially for maretail. The roots don't die unless this is used as usual weedkiller isn't powerful enough but do not allow pets or children near treated area and you need to treat it at least 3 times especially if it rains in between treatment
