Please can anyone help!  I’m trying to make a border around my garden I need 75ft of wood. Please can anyone help! I’m trying to make a border around my garden I need 75ft of wood. I’ve looked at scaffold planks and sleepers and they’re both quite expensive. Other than pallets are there any other budget ideas please? Thanks in advance

Is it to hold soil back? Decking boards may work to a certain degree but wouldn't be anywhere near as strong as sleepers etc

What type of border? I used decking boards to act as a run off for a robotic lawn mower. Was quick and easy to do. You can see what I mean in the video

I'm about to do my borders and I need to retain some soil also so I think I'm going to use gravel boards in concrete posts (I have asked my neighbour to cut the posts into 2ft sections) then I will postcrete them in place and slot the boards in. Worked out cheaper than a brick wall or sleepers.

I have garden timbers in areas, various styles of bricks in some, I even cut my timbers short (in various lengths), painted them, and set them up side by side. Old tires make for cool ideas. Pinterest has great ideas

I asked a scaffold company if they had any old boards and the next day they dropped a load of at my house with no charge try ringing around.
