I have two one white, one dark purple. The bees and butterflies love it. I've just had a different one delivered today which has bright orange ball shaped flower heads.

It flowers a lot earlier than other buddleia. But unlike others they need pruning after flowering as they flower on the previous years growth.

I made the mistake one year when I had a few different varieties in pots together and pruned them all in early spring. That year the globosa didn't flower.

They're all originally from cultivated plants brought over from China. The plants growing in the wild shouldn't be called weeds, they just escaped the confines of of our gardens. They're just free living plants, sounds better than weeds.
