Better to build yourself but not necessarily cheaper as a. You'll buy better quality materials and b. Shed/summer house manufacturers buy bulk so get materials cheaper

I've started build my summer house last year so far it's cost me bout £120 and it's a odd 7 x 11 ft size. It's taken me a long time to sauce materials as they become available, but great satisfaction.

Build yourself using reclaimed timber so much cheaper you can use pallets which you can get for nothing look on pinterest loads of ideas on there, also using reclaimed materials are environmentally friendly

This is my summer house built three years ago 14 ft by 14 it cost me in total about the £900 mark once you have the frame work it’s fairly straightforward with tounge in groove and lined inside with chip board Used decking on the floor the frame work wood I picked up cheap from a reclaimed timer yard the glass went to a joiners yard and got the glass sliding patio doors for free

We built this for about £600. All timber was new from a timber yard. The doors and windows were all double glazed and second hand. Its 10x10 so a decent size. Includes the cost of the paint for inside and out. And also the cement for the foundations.

The blue playhouse in the background cost nearly £900 to buy. My dad took measurements and built it himself for £127 , including stairs inside with a small upstairs inside
