My garlic that I planted last month are just about sprouting, still time for late winter garlic to be put in. Stores for months too.

@elmer I will definitely try this, do you put in straight in the ground or start it off indoors .

Just put it straight into the ground. Me and my girls have just potted our broad beans today too.

@elmer yes true and their are learning how some of their food is grown. It's lovely that's what I am wanting to do, as it gets the kids more involved them sitting playing on tablets game consoles and watching kids programs . And look at your girls faces you can see the excitement in their faces , well done x

@elmer ah great , you need a few hens aswell, I am thinking of getting a few .

@brigham unfortunately we aren’t allowed livestock on these pens as there is not enough shade and there is no running water. Also I couldn’t get down every day. Otherwise I would love them and so would the kids.

@brigham I just bought 2 of those huge veg growing pots so will try potatoes

If you have any strong shopping bags they are ideal to grow potatoes in as long as you put drainage holes In bottom of the bag and put 2 potatoes in Xx
