A week ago I used moss and feed for the lawn and I’ve now raked out all the deed moss. I’ve invested in some good quality lawn seed but when is the best time to put it down. Is it too soon after the previous treatment? Thank you.

As above, look at the instructions from the moss killer to see what it says. They all vary depending on ingredients etc.

Fork the soil to Get some air into it. Don’t have to go mad just loosen it slightly then seed. water daily! See what happens ‍♀️

Thank you. just had a look and it does recommend waiting 6 weeks. I think I’m being impatient and just want a lush green lawn ASAP!

From. my experience I would start at beginning of May to sow the the seeds as its warmer and the seeds grow quicker

Guy in garden Center told me grass is grass it’s all the same egnor what it says on the box there’s no difference what’s inside

If you look on the outside of the box, often underneath, you'll see a sticker that tells you which varieties of grass and what percentages are in each box, so that's not true

@berghoff0 only going by what he said

I know, just saying he's wrong, you get what you pay for with grass seed

@banky unfortunately a lot of garden centres employ people who have no clue about what they are selling.

I would imagine that moss killer contains a herbicide of. some description which may not effect established grass, but could hinder grass seedlings. The best times to sow grass would be early spring or early autumn, you could do it in the summer however watering it, . is a problem if we have a hot dry summer is the problem.

If it was just moss killer and feed and not a weed killer too seeding will be fine
