If you just want to add negative keywords for single words that you don't want to be found under, is negative broad match sufficient? For example, I want to be found for things like "security guard" and "private patrol" but not things like "security guard card" or "border patrol", so can I just add the negative broad match keywords "card" and "border"?

Do exact match on the negatives that way you still show for what you want

If you exact match on negative, you will only negate when the person searches for that exact term. So in my example, if I exact negative match "card", it will only prevent me for showing up if someone searches "card". I will still show up for "guard card", which is something I don't want.
