Lol, that’s what we’ve been setting client expectations for, but hadn’t heard anything since the “early may” update.

Supposedly they will start releasing the funds at the end of May. That is the last update that I have seen.

Who is eligible for the ad credit? Small and medium sized businesses globally, who have spent with a Google Ads account in ten out of twelve months of 2019, and in January and/or February of this year. Eligible customers are those who advertised directly with us or through a partner, and adhere to our advertising policies.

When will eligible customers receive the ad credit? Starting in late May, we will begin rolling out the ad credit in phases. Over the following months, eligible customers will be notified and will see the ad credit applied in their Google Ads account.

Someone let me know if they get it. No application, no way to ask for it they just going to hand it out. sounds weird. Smh let me know if there is a way to apply.
by (410 points)
@chirm there is a min criteria for this you need to have been running ads through 2019 into 2020 so it won’t apply for all

@rowley that is no issue with normal businesses

@rowley Yep all set with that. All my highest paying clients have been with me for at least 4 years at this point. They’ve been doing ads the entire time.

@bulrush41 what’s a normal business? Google set criteria which means there is a min time frame that you must meet to get the free credits
by (1.4k points)
@rowley most businesses run ads all the time almost for the past 3-4 years. not sure the criteria but you may be right. not all will get it
by (410 points)
@bulrush41 the noise you see is businesses that have just started . running ads - those running more than min criteria will be sound fella and get their credits
by (1.4k points)
@rowley it may not look fair but businesses that just started do not have very high chances of success. Why offer credit to them if you will not continue to spend as most in online business after a few months? They just throw money out there to see what sticks.

@bulrush41 I know not moaning about that, I actually think loyalty should be rewarded - hence Google’s strategy
