@crashaw if you have lots of conversion data 80 - 100 go for smart shopping, if not , regular shopping until. you get enough data

Use Smart shopping as your main sales campaign with a manual campaign for the same products running alongside it with low CPCs as a catch all. The manual campaign will give you a small number of conversions but at a high ROAS. Break down the product groups down to item is if possible so that you can see what products are performing and give those a CPC uplift every now and again.

@leporine Smart and manual campaign with the SAME products is not possible to run at the same time! Smart campaign will get all impressions and clicks.

Yes it is, I do it for all my clients, low bids on the manual and it hoovers up the bits that smart bidding misses. Try it, you'll like it

@leporine Unfortunately, no such happiness is possible.

OK, I tried.

@leporine and?

I meant I tried to pass on some insights into how I do things and my hard results have been ignored

@leporine im running the 2, to test them, as you put it

@crashaw give it time to work and adjust your manual CPCs to attract a bit of traffic. I start with 5p per click and then analyse the conversions at a product level on a weekly basis to see if they can be crept up

@leporine Sorry, I didn't understand what you meant. Appreciate your input

You can exclude Brand terms from your smart shopping and then have a Smart Generic campaign combined with a regular Brand shopping campaign but it needs to be done thrue your Google rep.

P. S. Google reps are idiots in 90 % of the cases, indeed. and the percentage is increasing every day

@raynell9 totaly agree that there are many bad reps. I have 3 that I have now that is really good so I'm happy

Don’t use smart shopping, it takes priority over all other campaigns.

Hi, better to use a normal google shopping campaign?
