Hi all, Is mobile app ads useless for your display ad campaign? I saw a lot of negative comments for mobile app ads. Cause I am using "in market audience" to target my display ads. My thinking is that my "in market audience" might visit these mobile ads hence it is still a way to do brand awareness. Or is it because mobile app ads is considered as a nuisance? (E. g. when you are playing game and suddenly these ads show up)

The reason being is that if not really targeted you'll end up in lots of apps the generate false clicks as ads pop up

@sparker Bovaird cause I thought the topic and audience targeting are doing the same thing to their website placement. My ads are often shown to news website, blog that is not related. I thought the logic behind it is the targeted audience was visiting this websites.

@sparker Bovaird I think after reading through your comment again I understand what you mean. Mobile app ads seems to be more prone to false clicks as users might accidentally click the ad while they were actually aiming for the close button

Mobile apps get tons of clicks (accidental and fraud clicks) that just do not convert. I always remove that traffic.
