I run local online shoe store and target main footwear keywords with broad match. But most purchases come from our store name searches. Any suggestions, how to get more growth?

Have you looked at attribution and how big of a part do the broad keywords play in the overall purchase path? For more volume and new keywords, have you tried DSA campaigns targeting product pages?

Okay figured out how to see it. About 75% are 1 click before conversion. So basically they search our name and buy. Could it be that i need to put more focus on brand strength and display ads if i wish to gain growth?

How many products do you have? How much budget? What is the location you target? There are so many questions. Never start with Broad Match if you don't have enough budget as it can burn your budget very quickly. Footwear is very competitive so when you bid on shoes for men it will be too broad. Start with exact keywords and go for type of shoe and colour. You can target also different audiences, but that takes longer to explain. If you need help let me know.

Well firts of all noone searches for shoes by colour. Thankspe search is a bit usefull, but like i said, the main traffic in shoe related broad searches comes from our own brand name and big part of rest of the traffic comes frome competitors names that show our ad as broad match. Seems that noone actually searches for shoes to buy online. Everyone searches for brand they already know. Perhaps i need to go for various display ads to strengthen the brand and leave the search to match only sellers names?

Do you have a FB business page? If you have a decent amount of followers, you could run a poll . or ads to LP with a flash card quiz to get a discount coupon via email . I mean, google is just one tool out of many & while I realize this is google group, I work in a highly regulated niche that isn’t allowed on google so I’ve had to get a bit more creative .
The Google AdWords Group is where you can always find questions, answers, advice, reviews & recommendations from other community members about successful search engine marketing (SEM) ads through Google AdWords.
