Used to but these days we just leave it all up to Google ie Google highlights when they notice our price has dropped (there are some other parameters but basically as long as you aren't *always* running the sale). No notable change in CTR.

Yeah we always use it and when it has the strikethrough pricing it def improves ctr

You have no guarantee it will work as it is Google who decides basically when to show and it only shows on mobile as per my understanding and googles own info. To be on the safe side always show the sale price. Unless you 100% sure you can fulfill all the requirements and are ok to just show the sale price on mobile
