For Search Ads? Terrible. Turn them off and rethink your campaign from top down. You'll be destroying your account quality score.

Account Quality Score?

@enfleurage Google Ads includes Display, Search Partners, etc etc. You should disable all f those and focus on Keyword based Search Campaigns only on Google - for starters.

@enfleurage you're a "beginner" and your running display campaigns using text ads? Are you drunk?

Image+text ads get stuck in the manual review process.

Nope. It's terrible. There is no format (youtube ads, search, display etc) that this is acceptable.

Segment on network. If it’s display, opt out from there and only run it on google search.

Or better: what is your goal?
by (620 points)
The goal is to display ads on websites regularly visited by my target audience. They don't know a solution for their needs exists, they are not even searching for it. On search I'm already no. 1., no room for improvement here.
by (8.8k points)
Tom, Hmm. Then you should not use text ads. How’s your campaign set up right now? Display only? Targeting? What kind of ads?
by (620 points)
@blum44 Image+Text are stuck at review process with Google, so I'm using Extended Text Ads. Display only. Only to be displayed on a particular website, which is visited by my target group.

Tom, How many impressions are coming in per day?
by (8.8k points)
Also, how can you tell you’re number one at search? What’s your impression share there?
by (620 points)
@blum44 If you search the querries my target audience is searching for, my website comes up first in search results.
by (8.8k points)
Tom, yeah that’s your search. But if you use the impression share metric, you will see how often you actually show up compared to the times you could have been showing up.

Which niche @enfleurage?

Finance. Algo-trading to be exact.

I'm on a very similar niche, finance also and all I can say is: 0. 3% would be bad for display 0. 03% is just terrible Rethink your ads, your audience clearly doesn't like them.

Very bad! Oh dear, make sure to take a look at all of your targeting and also ad design. With a CTR like that you probably have targeting way too broad.
