Hello guys, How long does it take for dynamic retargeting ads to start running? I set up a dynamic retargeting campaign a week ago. Yesterday it finally got approved, but it still got 0 impressions. There aren't any reccomandations for the campaign. I created 3 totally same Ad groups and set up different remarketing audiences to make sure at least one will work. But it is not. Audience for first Ad group is All website visitors 0-14 days, second one contains Google automatically created remarketing audiences - All visitors (AdWords) and AdWords optimized list. Third ad group includes lookalike audiences. The goal is conversions and target CPA is set by default. Any suggestions please ?

For search you need at least 1000 visitors in the past 30 days for it to start working. 100 for the display network

1000 visitors from Google Ads or 1000 visitors at all ?

@wedekind 1000 visitors from all. In ads you can go to audiences and hover over it and it will say how many you have

@naif2 I got 1, 5k ppl in the Audience 0-14 days visitors, so this should be ok.

Lookalike? strange. Do you have tags on your product pages? (not FB pixel,  but G Ads remarketing tags)
by (350 points)
Yes. I've got ecommerce tags on all pages. But there is a problem, because most of the automatically created remarketing audiences lists has 0 ppl. For example Abandoned Shopping Cart Audience includes 0 ppl.

@wedekind Don't trust the similar audiences in the way you trust the lookalike audiences in FB. my 2 cents.

@raynell9 Ok thank you for advice. I just wanted to give it a try and see if it is going to work.

@wedekind Probably it will not. Keep an eye on those (stupid) audience very closely. My advice is to separate it in a different campaign, BUT nowadays you will wait for ad approval 100 years, so it's not a good idea at all. PS. From your question I see that you have experience in FB ads, but Google is something totally different.

@raynell9 I separated lookalike audiences by different Ad groups. And you are right. I got some experiences in FB ads and im also finding both systems very different. But FB ads were much easier for me to set up as most of things just worked automatically.

@wedekind Ad set level in FB is something (not fully equal) like campaign level in G ads. This is the place where you can set budget! Just rethink your structure.

@raynell9 i dont fully unerstand it yet and i think it will take a loooong time to.

From your initial question (well structured and punctual) I don't think think that you will need a long time. I wish you success!

@raynell9 Thank you for all! I wish you succes as well.

@wedekind Sorry to say but Google had stopped reviewing all ads containing videos or/and pictures. This is becouse of the Corona virus. Same has happened to me. If you check the ads you will see that they are still beeing reviewed. If you search on the help section you will find the statement from Google confirming what I just wrote.

@naif2 Emil Morterud A lot of copy/paste. A lot.
