Same here but not as bad. $15 a day GDN budget that spent $275. Support sent me some BS saying it was a served cost vs billed cost.

Went through the same shock and answer from support but don’t worry. If it is a new campaign google is trying to serve it to as many people as possible (bonus points) but at the end of the month/period it won’t bill you more than 2x your budget for that campaign. So you may see a crazy cost but it will change. In your tools or reports section you can break it down and see billed and served for peace of mind.

If your campaign is set to 25 daily spend, whatever it spends you will billed not more than 50

yes not exactly such a big overspending but this is usual for newly set up campaign /especialy display/ as system is trying to serve as much as possible at the start. You need to check your billing report tomorrow and you will see what was served and what was billed. Google will compensate this. You don't have to worry. Keep in mind that this rule is applied on campaign level, so if you have 10 camp st on 25 and all overspend is likely to be billed at 500. Hope this makes sense

the budget is set on campaign level and it doesn't matter the number of as groups you have inside so you won't be charged more than 50

Monthly adspend should not go over 30. 4 times daily budget. So there must be more to that story. That kind of error just doesn't happened.

My cost per conversion went from £15 to £93 yesterday. Is this some kind of glitch?

Check billed vs served cost report and see how much is actually charged. There are many cases where Google Ads shows that you spent way too much, but when you check this report you can actually see how much of that amount google will charge.
