Is there a way to look at competitor ads and immediately analyze that he is making serious mistakes without seeing his data ? what you would be looking for to see?

Clicking on a competitor's ad can help you see what their landing page looks like. I'm not saying do this all the time to waste their budget but this is good research.

That’s exactly what it does. How many marketers click on ads, costing businesses money and impacting their over budget and performance. Especially in high costing CPC industries. YOU are part of the problem! There’s other ways to pull competitor data.

@chiaroscuro doesn't need to take my suggestion at all. If you have other recommendations, I'm sure he would be more than happy to try out your recommendations. :) My suggestions comes from my experience and is an 'easy' option to see if a competitor has made a simple mistake.

@catoptrics You can right click the ad and copy the target url. Then paste it in the URL search bar. You will see the landing page without wasting ad spend.

You can click on the ad and see if the landing page is optimised for conversions or if the link even works. I have done this before and found that the link was broken.
