I'm helping a client advertise for his supplement store but I'm not finding much info other than this link about Google policies. My question is, can I use the keyword "hormone free" in Google ads?

All I can say is good luck. Be prepared to have ads suddenly disapproved. When you call Google for support, they will direct you to their list of disapproved words. Make sure your entire website doesn't have any of those, and still get disapproved. Call back and they tell you that Google has another list, and it is dynamic, and no they won't share that with you. Short answer: Who knows?

I decline that niche altogether or tell them focus on a strong SEO strategy. Its too much of a pain without that legit script junk

So then why are there a lot of supplements advertising their products? They must be doing something right.

They fight through it and make it. Too many accounts end with dissaproved ads or bans from the niche. Not worth the time imo.

Also I would not add the word hormone just off the bat to avoid an issue

@collaborationist77 I am running ads for supplements almost 2 years now in The Netherlands (vitamins, minerals and herbs). Never had any problems. What supplements are you working with? And which country are you targeting?

@prolate62 I'm targeting US only. www. nutritionlabz. com I'm removing anything related to HEMP and any keywords from the Google banned list.

@collaborationist77 Yes the geotarget will cause the most issues here

Hmm ok. I never had any problems with my ads. I think when you avoid medical words and claims there won’t be any issue.
