Has there been any studies about using a dedicated landing page vs. a page on your website? My gut tells me that you'll get lower conversions sending somebody to a URL used only for landing pages, like a LP specific subdomain for example. These standalone landing pages always have a weird isolated feel to them, compared to a page that makes it easy to browse the rest of the website.

For example: example. com/service-landing-page vs. lp. example. com/service

@whidah Thats counter-intuitive to the logic of the usual website menu & additional/non-essential CTA buttons on a LP, distracting a visitor & therefore resulting in lower conversion rate VS a dedicated LP where a visitor has less distractions so a higher conversion possibility

You wouldn’t have to label the permalink as a landing page. I agree with Asim. I built the exact page (solution) you were searching for. I wouldn’t want to distract you with other irrelevant services.

If the home page converts organic traffic at an acceptable rate - I send them there. Also means in the early days of a campaign, I can get metrics (time, bounce, pages) and begin to optimise a little without conversions.

I think it’s product and niche specific, and for everything in this world, you don’t know for sure until you test.

You don't need a study to test it yourself, and from my experience dedicated landing pages almost always convert higher. Doesn't matter if they are on a separate subdomain or not. The "isolation" is the whole point, it allows you to create highly targeted content.
