Hey google experts, What’s your experience running search ads for financial advisors / wealth management?

This will likely be common knowledge, but the cost per click is going to be astronomical. So I’d focus on a tight geo location and write some incredibly effective and human connecting ad copy.

My pleasure. I would also make sure to not forget about doing a Remarketing Display campaign for them. Because it is a great way to create banner that show off the personality of the firm, show the people they would be working with and communicating their trust. There are lots of options for financial advisors, and typically folks end up selecting the one that they have the best GUT check feeling on. As humans we make most of our decisions emotionally and not based on logic :-) I also highly recommend the Responsive Display Ads, as you can upload a variety of photos, logo, messaging and Google will promote what works best. We also use retargeting ads alot to feature a testimonial of the provider, again to continue to build that trust to the visitor that came to the site. Reach out to me any time with questions. I wouldn’t say astronomical cpc’s, but unlike legal or insurance the conversion rates are nothing to write home about. We’re running campaigns going for direct inquiries, but likely best to go for info collection via lead magnet and then nurture with an email sequence.

@luedtke42 yeah I’ll have a landing page set up with a video from the client and a form to gather inquiries. I like the email sequence. What platform are you using to send out emails?

For this one it’s hubspot but since we’re still going for full contact info on low funnel keywords, the CPA is higher than it would be through a gated resource with just email collection (download the ultimate guide to. ”) and then using something like hubspot or active campaign to qualify and push over the line.
