How do you match the “google ads creative ID” number in G-Analytics to the actual google ad? Since we don’t see that ref # number in ads platform. Ridiculously hard to find if it’s there. :/

There is a column in Google Ads to check that. You can also pass a dynamic parameter. However the best way would be to tag url with utm to keep it simple. utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc/cpa utm_term=campaign/keyword utm_content=ads Like can name it in either of the Utms for easy tracking if you want.

@minacious thank you. Yes of course we use utms but put this one up quickly. I actually prefer to look at raw data to get insights first and re-segment from there. As I mentioned I searched everywhere. I hope I find the one column you speak of!

Though I am pretty sure you must have tried this, apologies if I shared it again. Assuming you are looking for this in Google Ads interface & want to match the performance in GA as well against the corresponding values too? I may have misunderstood.

@minacious Yes thank you! I will say it shouldn’t be this hard to track creative performance - that should be front and center. ‍♂️

@minacious - still no luck. I did find an article that confirms this is NOT possible. Are you able to screenshot where/how you can do this?
