Why is the cream of chicken and leek soup so lumpy? I can not get it to smooth out?

Use a shaker bottle and cold water, then heat. Do not put hot or even warm water in a shaker bottle. It WILL explode.

The shaker bottle that has the little ball inside should work well.

It might have something to do with the chicken and leeks.

Have you ever made a sauce from a roux before? If so, do the same thing for these soups. Take the powder, then add a small portion of water until it all comes together, then whisk as you slowly (and I mean slowly) drizzle in the rest of the liquid. No lumps.
