Great question! This is best advice to do buy the original and sub out meals for fasting then try to work up to it! is meant to mix up metabolism with 3 meal days, 2 meal days, one meal days (omad) and fasting. The fasting is every new member's biggest fear. You are allowed tea, coffee, water, broth, and electrolytes You should always listen to your body tho. If at anytime during a fast whether speed keto or regular you do not feel good. stop immediately.

Are you saying to buy the plan that doesn’t include fasting and just don’t eat the meals when I feel like fasting? Or buy the original that includes fasting and just come up with my own meals when I feel like I can’t fast?

The original is the one with the fasting. you can sub in meals in place of fasting times.

The original is best cause if you ever want to incorporate fasting you have the correct info and you do not need to buy another book.

Are the recipes completely different?
by (26.9k points)
Nope same recipes :)
by (26.9k points)
But there is a lot more recipes in the support group too

So the only difference is just being told when to fast? Lol

There is different fasting, one day may be IF with OMAD

Next may be an extended fast.

It is a huge mix up that gets your body burning!

Also no matter how long it tells you to fast , listen to your body and do what you can. :)

Yeah I know the different kinds but I can’t just decide when to do OMAD or a 16 hour fast or whatever I please? Like it has to be an exact routine? Hopefully that doesn’t sound snobby I’m just trying to understand. And I’m not feeling too confident with buying the original when I don’t think I will be ready to fast for a while

It is best to go by the program as made but you CAN sub out meals. but if you want the non fasting one, please get the one you feel comfy with, but I see many people wishing they had the fasting one once they see how easy it is.

Great questions <3

I would have to buy both plans just to see the fasting plan? There’s no way to buy it separately or anything?
by (26.9k points)
The non fasting one is same plan with no fasting info in it, the original you can still eat a meal instead of fasting, to me it is better if you want to do the fasting one day. all dinners, lunches and breakfasts can be changed out.
by (190 points)
Okay so I guess it would make more sense to just get the original and if I can’t make it through the entire fast I can just get a recipe from another day

Okay thank you! Last question. can I only eat the recipes in the plan? I can’t have like a keto friendly protein shake or anything like that?
by (26.9k points)
For the first month it is important to stick to the plan to weed out things that might have been hanging you up. the next month you can use hundreds of SK recipes that are found only in group.

Unless you have a medical reason to not fast why not try it :)

I’ve done fasting without the program and just didn’t really like it and found it hard to work with my schedule (2 kids, husband and living with family) plus work schedule

Meal prep is key!
