Try to do it late at night for a next day delivery. I've had success doing this, groceries delivered before 11am both times Leave a great tip! (I believe they can see the tip before accepting the job. )

@broken226 thank you for being there for all of us

@christoper I am not doing it! I do Uber Eats and grubhub for extra money but stopped for now. But my husband does Shipt sometimes but he stopped due to the pandemic as well.

@broken226 what is a good tip? 20% or more?

@leggett Honestly depends on what you get. The more items/aisles the more tip. People in the Facebook group for Shipt drivers are complaining that people are putting big tips on the orders but then changing to much lower amounts after delivery due to items like TP, wipes etc being out of stock. That's hard for them because they can't control it and they still spent the time looking for the item, exposing themselves etc

@broken226 that is so disgusting. It's not the shopper's fault that so many things are not available right now.

Same for Amazon Prime orders for Whole Foods. I’ve been trying to order for 2 weeks now!

Hi. I'm just guessing here but I'm in system development and it's just my guess, but I tried 3 separate pickup stores and I have the same issue. My guess is that apps have a limit or they are not setup to go past one week. Thankspically pickup orders are for 0 to 2 days and most apps are probably coded to go out for one week, but just were not designed to handle this much volume. Some might be, but most are not. It's just a guess. The messages I've been seeing are "there are no pickup times available" or the app won't let you select a date from the drop-down. I agree midnight might be a good idea because then Maybe the next possible day will open up. I'm going to set my alarm tonight to try it‍♀️

Although I happened to wake up at 3am and checked again. and this Friday had an opening. it seems very random! I think I'm just going to have to actually go to the grocery store soon. I've managed to stay home and get deliveries since the 12th, but I don't know how dependable it will be going forward. I have had more luck with Target/Shipt grocery delivery, but even that seems to be hard to book now.

Hi @juna78! I just keep my cart (Target) full, and check back on my phone multiple times a day. Things seem to open up, usually 2 days out.

I did it from Meijer who uses Shipt, I too filled my cart the day before and luckily I get up early so 6:45 on Monday morning I got a time for Tuesday. We did have to pickup. 10:00 Tuesday morning. They are out of lots of specific things. Like you aren't getting your brand of whatever, but flexibility is the key! The shopper called me and told me everything they didn't have and what the choices were.

It’s hit or miss. There are too many orders and not enough shoppers mostly. I am a shopper and the orders don’t ever stop. You just have to keep checking back. Early in the morning is key.

Instacart went on strike last week I'm not sure if they're back or not my suggestion is that you try at 2 or 3 in the morning I have been able to schedule deliveries with Whole Foods and Amazon at those hours

I work for Instacart. Barely any workers went on strike. They also had many many more apply and join than they lost.

@agiotage thank you. I am pregnant so I’m not doing it during this craziness but God bless the workers that are.
