Question

What vacuum is the best for dog hair? We are on our third vacuum in two years and it just doesn’t do a good job. One thing we need for sure, in addition to being good for dog hair, is that it needs to be able to have the brush roll turn off when using the attachments. Anyone have a vacuum that goes the distance? Reviews online are so hit or miss. Thanks!

The Shark Lift Away! I have a husky and it's amazing! And when the attachments are off the brush doesn't turn, there is a hard floor option which no brush spinning and a carpet option where it spins! Just the flip of a switch.

Ugh I got one for christmas and it died after max 3 uses. I've tried cleaning it, and troubleshooting everything, but nothing works. It just pushes hair and dirt around. I'd read this happened a lot but hoped I'd get lucky - no suck luck.

We have a Dyson pet that is 11 years old and still works great. (We have 2 cats and a GSD) Plus we were able to take it to the Dyson repair shop in Bolingbrook to get new filters and they sanitized the whole thing too for something like $150. Totally worth it!

We have a Golden Retriever. lots of hair! We also use the Dyson Animal vacuum and I also recommend the Furminator dog brush. You’ll be amazed how much hair you can brush out!
