When are daycares supposed to open again? Thank you! Edit: I now have the answer I was looking for! The “as of right now date” per DCFS, it’s May 1st.

We got an email from ours that depending on circumstances they would open with a reduced schedule on may 4th but totally depends on the stay at home order

@melcher9 thanks. Our daycare is closed right now. I have care till end of May. Starting to get nervous if it extends past that.

Some are open for essential workers. Otherwise, likely depends on the lift of the stay-at-home order

I was told that it also depends on what limit the group size is at.

As of right now, DCFS rules say May 1 they can open. But that depends on if the governor extends the order or not.

@cobblestone Thank you! This is the exact answer I was looking for ! I couldn’t find the “as of right now date” per DCFS!

We are planning to re-open May 4th.
