Hi all!  I'm trying to do some research on rough cost of daycares and before/after school care, but it's hard with everything being closed.Hi all! If you wouldn't mind sharing, could you comment or DM me with the rough cost of daycare? I have a 6 year old who would need before/after school and a 1. 5 year old who would go full time. Christal—could you send her info on bright horizons? Also, Mary, for before and after school you’d need to look at places that bus to/from David’s school (is there ymca on site? )

@unpremeditated oooh duh, of course! There is an on site program, Champions. I don't know if it's run through the YMCA. I'll definitely check! Thanks =)

@riti Both my girls are at bright horizons now - 5 and 2. When my oldest goes to school next year she’ll hopefully go to the program at school. We love Bright Horizons and have been there since my oldest was an infant. I’ll PM you the rates! Let me know if you have any questions.

@riti np! And sometimes the onsite places fill up really fast, so beyond that I’d recommend finding somewhere that can bus David to/from and then put baby there too so it’s just one drop off and pickup each day

I will say that out of all the daycares I looked at, Bright Horizons blew me away. Unfortunately we just couldn't afford it but if the day comes when we can my son will absolutely go there.

@ammoniate based on some of the above calculations, the after care almost cost as much as the entire tuition at Bethany. If the Math works out in our favor, definitely take a look at us for the Day School! ❤️. We would love love love to have her!

We did after school care only for a bit for my Kindergarten son. I think just after school at daycare was $131 per week? Then my daughter is $273 per week as a 3. 5 year old. I would fully expect to pay $300 per week or more for 1. 5 year old.
