My husband and I want to get rid of Comcast as our cable provider. We already have Apple TV and use streaming services- Hulu, Netflix and Prime. We will be solely switching to Hulu TV however we still need Wi-Fi. We can't seem to find anything in this area other than Comcast. Has anyone had luck or found anyone to provide Wi-Fi with any other provider? Thank you!

We have AT&T Uverse for internet and it’s so slow. And we have the fastest speed they can offer in my area. Unfortunately Wow doesn’t service our area yet either.

We pay $29. 99/ month for WOW. I’m surprised at how it’s kept up with 4 of us at home: zoom e learning, working full time, loading YouTube videos, etc

Just got rid of Comcast last week but kept the internet and security system. The internet was 39. 99 for the highest speed
by (640 points)
@matias1208 seriously?! We were told $79 to keep internet.
by (9k points)
@stovepipe81781 really! I wonder if it’s because I still have my security system with them?
by (640 points)
@matias1208 maybe? Going to call tomorrow. Thanks!

@stovepipe81781 I tried to get Wow but they didn’t service my neighborhood and I would have paid more for a new security system. Wow only covers really particular neighborhoods we had them before we moved

@stovepipe81781 yeah call and check, sometimes they have specials going as well.
by (640 points)
@matias1208 yeah they don't covers ours either

@matias1208 that’s a great price they told me 79. 00 plus 10. 00 to upgrade to blast.

Our Comcast internet is $30. I always recommend going in to the store in Bolingbrook (Weber/boughton). They have always pulled up all the different deals and options and found me the cheapest rate for what I need.
by (9k points)
@dynamo I did the same thing when we first got it but the stores have been closed so I called and got the $39 rate. They sent me return stickers to send my boxes back since the stores are closed. It’s crazy how they have such different pricing in store vs the phone.

Check AT&T - they've been adding to the area. I am now eligible and I will be switching to them. They have a deal right now for $49. 99 1TB for 12 mos plus $100 prepaid visa card
by (8.6k points)
@ufo527 for what speed. With e-learning and streaming tv on sometimes two tv’s need a high speed
by (24k points)
@matias1208 Curry 1TB you’ll never use that on the regular. During quarantine there’s no data caps either.

Do not. I repeat. Do not get att. It’s the absolute worst
by (410 points)
@rizika - Agreed! They are telling us that Internet 12 is the fastest package offered for our address. Our download speed averages 14 and upload of 1. 5 and they tell us that’s acceptable with the package we pay for. I’m sorry but that is not acceptable for $67 a month! So frustrating!
by (1.1k points)
@derose we couldn’t even watch a movie without turning everything else off. And it’s still would stop to buffer. Or download an app on anything. And supposedly We had the fastest. It was the worst.
by (410 points)
@rizika - I am working remotely with VPN access, our son is doing elearning and my husband and son play Fortnite. The first week we had no issues. Then all of a sudden nothing worked when attempting all at the same time. just the circle of death. It’s ridiculous!

Wow doesn’t reach us, and att has terrible internet for us until fiber comes to our area (they’ve been saying soon for 2 years). So we are stuck with xfinify.
