Aye.  After yesterday’s downpour and flash flood warning, my husband and I did a perimeter check of our basement.Aye. After yesterday’s downpour and flash flood warning, my husband and I did a perimeter check of our basement. We found a crack in our foundation. Only been in the house 2 years, haven’t noticed it at anytime beforehand. Any recommendations or advice? Who to call, how bad does it look, estimate on what it will cost to repair? My husband reached out to a company or two, but you mamas are *my* go to for advice. Thank you in advance!

I agree with this recommendation but be sure to double check your invoice that's all I will say.

We used crack attack - permaseal was quite a bit more expensive. We have a new crack on a different wall and called US waterproofing and they can’t make it out until June 18th. So we will go back to crack attack. For a pretty big crack, was $495

I used permaseal in my basement about 8 months ago. They repaired with 100% guarantee. Had to come back last week to fix the old repair again but we had already redone the floor and the wall. They now need to be redone and permaseal holds no responsibility even though they said it was fixed. I’m not too happy. I guess the fix was free but fixing the wall and floor is going to cost me. I’d rather have had it done eighth the first time.

Permaseal fixed ours - Raegan Kosiek Gray s husband (who lives in Naperville) was super responsive.

I would call Brian at Spectrum Restoration Services. He will give you some great advice. I’d be happy to connect you with him if you’d like

We had quotes from both Permaseal and US Waterproofing. Permaseal was less costly and quicker to repair - a few years ago. Good luck!

Accu-dry in Downers Grove will give you a fair quote. I had them do a quote for us as well. We have cracks in the crawl space that need to fixed.

We used a kit similar to this and it worked great! If you aren’t afraid to read and follow the directions and are a little handy this might work for you.

Us waterproofing. All companies that seal these cracks will cost about the same, I think. It is very expensive but they do it right and it pays for itself in the long run.
