Question

Those that use a grocery delivery service, what’s your favorite? I’ve loved using Instacart this past year but it’s coming up for renewal and is $99, wondering if there’s a better option? I’m super busy so using a delivery service has been awesome! Thanks!

@centreboard6183 my instacart shoppers are usually pretty good about choosing fruits and veggies and they’ve told me when there wasn’t any good options. But when I did get bad produce, instacart refunds no questions asked.

@thetic24 I’m not quite sure. I know that I am a prime member so annually it’s maybe about $100 and the grocery delivery is about five dollars

I like jewels delivery. They also send out coupons a ton for free delivery and $20 off

We tried jewel grocery delivery and it was great! The truck they deliver in has different sections that are temperature controlled so your frozen items are actually in a freezer, refrigerator items are actually in a refrigerator.

I know its not delivery, but I really like Target pick up.

@cicily You can’t “pick up” frozen or refrigerated items, or produce. But you can pick up shelf stable items!

I love Instacart but I know what you mean. I felt the same way when it came around to the $99 renewal. I am interested to hear what others use bc I absolutely love the convenience of it. I use insta cart mostly for Aldi bc I get things there weekly.

I use Shipt and it's been life changing. Same annual fee as Instacart, but first sign up is $50! if you have a code and then if you share your code with someone you both get $50 off. I like that the shoppers communicate with you if you'd like them to for substitutions. You don't pay an additional delivery fee if order is $35. You can choose target or meijer. I use target and still get the $5 or $10 gift card promotions which is nice. Here's my code if anyone wants to try it!  I ordered my groceries from Shipt! When I tried Instacart twice last year, I hated that they substituted a ton of things everything when I'm particular about what I like. It seemed you had to say for every item "no substitutions" instead of an overall statement. The shoppers didn't text me throughout my order like Shipt shoppers do. If the store is out of something, they'll text me my options. I also feel Shipt prices are lower at Meijer & Target than what Jewel was through Instacart, and I earn tons of Meijer rewards (although unfortunately have to be used in store). Maybe Instacart has improved over the last year, but I didn't like it.

Jewel Home Delivery! They have refrigerated trucks if you choose the 2hour or more delivery window. Lots of coupons and you can get a years delivery membership. No tipping. Produce has generally been good too! App is easy to use.

I love shipt. Great customer service, prompt refunds when wrong items delivered, very responsive. I have received great delivery service from the actual shoppers, too.
